Three of the best known faces from Neath Port Talbot have wished local residents – and key workers and NHS staff – a very merry Christmas in a special video message.

The warm words from comedian, impressionist, actor, radio and television presenter Rob Brydon, world renowned actor Michael Sheen and popular character actress Di Botcher will be especially poignant given the difficult year we have all experienced.

Taibach born Di, who has starred in movies like Twin Town and Hunky Dory, stage shows including Blood Brothers and TV favourites like Little Britain, Coronation Street, Stella and Downton Abbey, says she hopes everyone’s wishes “for a better 2021” will come true.

The actress also pays her own tribute to care workers, NHS workers and other front line staff who have been helping to keep us safe during the coronavirus pandemic.

Michael and Rob, both from Baglan, also wished everyone “back home” a warm festive period and they also praised health, care and other key workers who will be particularly busy over Christmas and the New Year.

Michael, speaking by video link from the set of a movie in New York wished everyone in Neath Port Talbot a “warm and safe” Christmas while Rob also hoped everyone in his home area would have “the best Christmas it was possible to have” given the circumstances.
