Appeal for information after Carmarthenshire A40 cyclist death

Dyfed Powys Police are appealing for information after a fatal collision involving a cyclist and a van on the A40 westbound dual carriageway near Bancyfelin, between Carmarthen and St Clears at around 6:40pm Thursday evening (25 February)
In a statement, the Police advised that the female cyclist tragically died at the scene and their thoughts are with her family at this time. Specialist support has been made available.
The driver of the van was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, and has been released on bail.
Enquiries into the circumstances of the collision are ongoing, and any witnesses are asked to come forward.
Dyfed Powys Police’s Serious Collision Unit are asking anyone who may have seen the incident, if you might have seen the cyclist or van involved prior to the collision, or have dash cam footage to contact them as soon as possible online, by email at 101@dyfed-powys.pnn.police.uk or by calling 101.
