Prime Minister’s St David’s Day message says ‘diolch for everything that you’re doing throughout this pandemic’

Boris Johnson has issued a video to mark St David’s Day to thank people for their efforts through the pandemic.
In the video the Prime Minister said: “I know the celebrations will be a bit different this year, but the vaccination programme is working and hopefully it won’t be too long before we’re able to get back to something like normality and enjoy the things we love.
“St David’s last words to his followers before he died were thought to have been be joyful, keep the faith and do the little things that you have seen me do.
“That’s a message that resonates with us today as we think of the acts of kindness that we’ve seen throughout the pandemic. Clapping for carers. All the gestures of support for everybody else in our community.
“Together we know we will defeat this pandemic and that there is light at the end of the tunnel.
“Diolch for everything you are doing and Dydd Gwŷl Dewi Hapus.
