Neath Port Talbot Council have issued a ‘warn and inform’ message after their Test, Trace and Protect (TTP) service found that seven people who had COVID-19, and were in their infectious period, had visited the Lamb and Flag pub on Wellfield Place in Glynneath.

The Council is now urging anyone who had visited the Lamb and Flag between Sunday 27 June and Sunday 4 July to get a COVID test, even if they do not have symptoms.

A spokesperson for the council said: “Covid has an incubation period of between 2 – 14 days and therefore those who were
at the premises may be infected but may be unaware or may not have symptoms.

“We urge you to get a test as soon as possible.

“Anyone with coronavirus symptoms (however mild) must remain at home both before and after having a test until such time as they have received a negative test result.

“Their household members must also stay at home in a similar manner as doing this will help prevent the spread of the virus to family, friends, colleagues and the wider community and will also help protect the NHS.”
