Workshop gives Swansea start-up businesses expert legal advice

Expert advice will soon be available to help Swansea start-up businesses with all the legal issues they should consider when setting-up their new ventures.
Nia Godsmark, of Peter Lynn and Partners, will be delivering a free online session from 10am to 11.30am on Thursday 5 August.
A specialist in employment and corporate law, Nia will also be on hand to answer questions during the live event.
It will be the second workshop of Swansea Council’s new Start-up Enterprise Club, which will be exploring a range of topics in coming months to help businesses thrive.
Delivered via Microsoft Teams, the session will cover contract law, human resources and employment, business sector regulation, and intellectual and commercial property.
Cllr Robert Francis-Davies, Swansea Council’s Cabinet Member for Investment, Regeneration and Tourism, said: “When starting a new business venture, it’s vital that entrepreneurs make sure they’re complying with all the legal obligations of running a small businesses.
“As part of our new Start-up Enterprise Club, this is why we’ve now invited a legal expert to deliver a session that will give our start-up business community important advice.
“It follows from a session we gave last month on social media, with many other topics due to be covered in future as we look to give our business community all the support they need to thrive.
“I’d encourage any Swansea start-up business interested in attending to register as soon as possible.”
Businesses can now book a space at the workshop online. The session will be recorded for on-demand replay.
