Carmarthen’s Orial Myrddin Art Gallery open its doors as it celebrates 30 years

Carmarthen’s Oriel Myrddin Gallery is celebrating 30 years by holding its very first open exhibition.
Artist from across Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire are being invited to submit their work for the exhibition, which is being held between August 28 to September 30.
The exhibition will showcase a diverse range of work by local, established and emerging talent, and is the Gallery’s way of offering thanks and giving back to the wonderful community that has supported it over the past 30 years.
Anyone over the age of 16 who lives in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire can enter for the chance to be selected to showcase their work. Handing in dates are Saturday, August 21 and Sunday, August 22.
Since its launch in 1991, Oriel Myrddin Gallery has been Carmarthenshire’s centre for contemporary visual art, craft and design, situated in the Old Art School in Carmarthen – a beautiful listed Victorian building.
Most of the art works in the 30th anniversary open exhibition will be for sale, so it is also an excellent opportunity to purchase work by a rising star and to support an independent artist.
