It will be fun to the fore at Swansea City Centre charity golf day

Swansea BID (Business Improvement District) will hold a fun charity golf tournament on Sunday 22 August, with holes dotted around the city centre, to raise money for Wales Air Ambulance.
Swansea BID Urban Golf will see 12 teams of four players, all from BID area businesses, meeting at the clubhouse – The Three Lamps – at 8am for breakfast before a swift start around nine holes throughout the city centre. Then the teams will return to the clubhouse for awards and a burger and a pint lunch/brunch before grabbing a seat to watch the last day of the Women’s Open. Team entry costs £30 per head, with all profit to go to the Wales Air Ambulance.
Andrew Douglas, Operations Manager at Swansea BID said: “The past year or so has been very difficult for Swansea city centre businesses and we wanted to get together for a day of fun for a good cause, as a bit of a bonding event. Our city centre is bouncing back and we know our businesses are working harder than ever to remind shoppers and visitors that this is a vibrant and a safe place to be.”
Golf attire is compulsory, and businesses can sponsor individual holes in aid of Wales Air Ambulance, too. If you would like to field a team, please contact: andrew@swanseabid.co.uk.
