Clase man arrested after 15-year old boy robbed of mobile phone at knifepoint

South Wales Police have arrested a 25-year old man from Clase after two separate incidents of robberies of mobile phones at knifepoint within two hours of one another in Swansea.

The victims included a 15 year-old boy at a bus stop on Caemawr Road close to Bishop Vaughan Comprehensive school.

Inspector Andy Price from South Wales Police said: “We are investigating two robberies which took place in Swansea this morning (9 September).

“Just after 9am we received a call following reports that a man in his twenties had threatened a 15 year old boy with a knife when he was at a bus stop next to Caemawr Road and demanded his phone.

“At around 10.45am it is believed the same man stole a mobile phone from a woman on Solva Road.

“By 11.05am a 25 year old man had been arrested in connection to both incidents and is currently in police custody.”
