Discount food retailer Heron Foods to open in Morriston

Heron Foods, the discount retail chain has today announced that they’ll be opening a brand new store on Woodfield Street in Morriston at 9 am on Thursday, 24th February 2022.

Taking over the Peacocks unit on Woodfield Street, the retailer says the store will stock ‘Top Quality, Low Prices’ on a huge food and drinks range, as well as limited-time deals in the ‘Don’t Miss Out’ section.

On opening day, the store will be offering a goodie bag worth over £5 to the first 100 customers who spend £5 or more.

Not only that, the first 250 customers who spend over £5 will also be offered a scratch-card which will reveal a prize once scratched off. With 5 top prizes worth £50 be found, the opening day event is not to be missed.

The new store has created 12 new jobs in both full- and part-time roles. Although all of the positions have been filled for now, job seekers are encouraged to visit Heron Foods’ careers website at https://heronfoods.com/careers/ all the latest vacancies as there will be possibilities for more vacancies very soon.

Visitors to the company’s Facebook page facebook.com/heronfoodslimited will have the opportunity to choose their favourite charity who will be given £250 as a thank you from Heron Foods to mark the opening of the new store.

Store Manager, Roger Teasdle, who has just joined the company said: “I’m very excited to get stuck in, Heron Foods stores offer and add to the local community so we’re thrilled to be opening a store in Morriston, and we look forward to welcoming customers through the doors.”

“I’d also like to personally thank colleagues for their efforts in getting the new store ready.”

Heron Foods – Morriston will be open Monday to Saturday: 8 am to 7 pm, and Sunday: 10 am to 4 pm.
