Swansea is the most stressful city to find parking in Wales according to new research


Swansea ranked as the most stressful city in Wales, and 5th most stressful in the UK to find parking according to new research.
Driving can be stressful, whether you’re stuck in traffic or looking for a parking spot. Admiral Car Insurance analysed more than 157,000 tweets about parking by UK motorists to find out where the most stressful cities are to find a parking spot.
For each tweet, they applied the academic tool called TensiStrength to measure the stress levels and rank each location as having the highest percentage of stressed-out parking-related tweets.
Swansea ranked as the most stressful city in Wales and 5th most stressful in the UK to find parking with 28.2% of tweets related to parking ranking as stressed on the TensiStrength scale.
Newport ranked as the least stressful city in Wales to find parking with 23.4% of stressed tweets related to parking.
Both Swansea and Cardiff ranked higher than London (30th).

Plymouth is the most stressful city to find a parking spot in the UK
Devon’s Plymouth tops the ranking as the UK city with the highest proportion of stressed tweets related to parking (32.2%). Worcester is the second most stressful UK city for drivers (28.5%).

Glasgow is the least stressful city in the UK to find a parking spot
Glasgow is the UK city with the lowest proportion of stressed tweets related to parking (13.9%), making it the least stressful city for drivers to find a parking spot.
