The robbery left the victim very shaken and needing to spend a night hospital where she was treated for her facial injuries.

Hardy was found guilty on Thursday March 3 at Swansea Crown Court and was sentenced to four years in prison.

Detective Chief Inspector Gareth Jones said: “Robbery is a distressing crime, especially when it is unprovoked. I’m happy to see Hardy has been brought to justice.

“I want to thank the victim for her great courage and bravery during the incident and over the last month.”
