The woman with the world’s largest mouth has tried, and failed, to fit Aldi’s NEW Specially Selected Giant Brioche Hot Cross Bun in her mouth.

Samantha Ramsdell, who has a mouth spanning an enormous 2.56 inches, attempted to get her impressive chops around the 8- inch treat – the biggest ever supermarket hot cross bun!

Broadcasting the bun-believable challenge to her 2.9 million TikTok followers, Samantha can be seen excitedly comparing Aldi’s new Giant Hot Cross Bun to a normal-sized hot cross bun before gearing up to gobble the gigantic Easter treat.

Samantha has previously gone viral by consuming a whole sandwich in one mouthful, so the pressure was certainly on for the Guinness World Record holder.

Despite a valiant effort (and several attempts) from the viral star, Samantha was unable to fit Aldi’s new 600g show-stopping spectacle, which is as big as a human head, into her mouth in one bite.

Samantha comments: “I can fit an entire apple in my mouth and wanted to see if I could take things to the next level, but this hot cross bun is so big, it defeated me! Despite failing the challenge, I really loved the taste. The bun is super buttery and delicious with loads of juicy fruit – one to tell my American pals about for sure!”

The ginormous hot cross bun is four times the size of a standard bun and is packed with all the warming spices, sweet fruits and glazes you’d expect in a jumbo-sized serving.

ALDI say shoppers can toast it under the grill and slather it with butter or their delicious Nutoka Hazelnut Chocolate Spread.

The new Specially Selected Giant Brioche Hot Cross Bun joins Aldi’s full range of Hot Cross Buns on offer this Easter, including exciting new flavours, Strawberries and Cream and Cheddar Cheese and Caramelised Onion.

The Specially Selected Giant Brioche Hot Cross Bun is available in UK Aldi stores and online from 27th March.
