Trecco Bay Holiday Park takes part in Great British Beach Clean

Around 70 generous volunteers joined team members from Trecco Bay Holiday Park this weekend to take part in the Great British Beach Clean.
Held between Friday 16 and Sunday 25 September, the event is run by the Marine Conservation Society to aid conversation work and help keep our seas clean.
The Trecco Bay event is one of the largest beach cleans in the area and was organised in partnership with Coastal Reserve Wines and Plastic Oceans.
An impressive amount of litter was collected, weighing in at a total of 63kg, or more than 138lbs. Data on the items collected will help further the Marine Conservation Society’s environmental work, and will also be included in the International Coastal Clean-up analysis.
Trecco Bay is one of many Parkdean Resorts holiday parks across England, Scotland and Wales that is taking part in a beach clean event, where volunteers come together to pick up litter found along the coast.
Last year, Parkdean Resorts carried out an impressive 22 beach cleans with the help of 330 generous volunteers, with 17 held in England, 3 in Scotland and 2 in Wales. An astounding 124.5 bags of litter were collected, made up of 5,748 pieces of litter and weighing in at a total of 230.1kg, or more than 500 lbs. This year, Parkdean Resorts is increasing its activity with over 30 beach cleans taking place.
Parkdean Resorts is the UK’s largest holiday park operator, and its 66 unique parks across the UK are home to over 3,500 acres of land including forests, peatbogs, rivers, beaches and headlands in some of the UK’s finest beauty spots.
Parkdean say they’re committed to caring for its people, parks and planet to create a positive environmental impact on nature and resources, and to acting responsibly for the long-term sustainability of its business.
