Skewen burglar caught 15 minutes after breaking into Neath property


South Wales Police arrested a Skewen man just 15 minutes after breaking into a property in the early hours of Tuesday 27 September.
Officers were called to a property on New Street in Neath around 6.35am after reports of a burglary.
A 33 year-old man was arrested within 15 minutes of the incident taking place, and was found to still be in possession of the stolen items, which amounted to around £5,000.
Terry John Hughes, from Old Road, Skewen, appeared in court the next day, Wednesday 28th September, and pleaded guilty to the offence.
South Wales Police say that Hughes has been charged with burglary and has been remanded into custody.
