Treboeth woman arrested after 82 year-old pushed over and robbed at bus stop


South Wales Police have arrested a 40-year old woman from Treboeth in Swansea after an 82 year-old woman was robbed at a bus stop on Hollett Road.
Detective Inspector Gareth Jones said: “It happened around 10.55am this morning, Friday 7th October, by the bus stop on Hollett Road, Treboeth.
“The 82 year old lady was by the bus stop when a woman grabbed her handbag.
“Whilst the female suspect was pulling at the handbag both of them fell to the floor.
“The suspect then stole the ladies purse, which contained cash and bank cards, and ran up Hollet Road, towards Penlan.”
Following a social media appeal, officers reported that 40 year-old Gemma Kelshaw from Treboeth has been charged with robbery and remains in police custody.
