Pupils of Manorbier VC School that burned down on Monday have resumed learning at the Buttyland Caravan Park – but Pembrokeshire Council say a further move to a longer term location is on the cards for Monday.

Pembrokeshire Council say that the school will transfer to the Jameston Community Hall for a longer period of time whilst the damage to the school is fully assessed from Monday (17 October).

In a statement, Pembrokeshire Council said: “Manorbier Church in Wales VC School and Pembrokeshire County Council are grateful to the local community council for their support in enabling this.

“The school will welcome learners to the site on Monday and this will meet their needs at the current time.

“Again the whole community is thanked for working with the school and Council to support the learners at this difficult time.”

Fire crews from Tenby, Pembroke Dock, Haverfordwest and Milford Haven were called to the school on Monday (10 October) as fire tore through the roof of the building.
