Swansea set to host football World Cup Fan Park

Football’s World Cup is getting closer – and Fan Park Swansea will greet supporters at Singleton Park.
From November 20, it’s due to screen matches in a heated 2,500-seat big top.
The attraction – run by Fan Parks UK Group – aims to provide high-standard facilities in a friendly and secure environment, perfect to enjoy free time with friends, family and colleagues.
Organisers say that visitors can expect a winning combination of local food suppliers, drinks from a fully-stocked bar, entertainment, hosts, football legends and more.
Fan Parks director Jostein Ansnes said: “Our goal is to create a feel-good event with fantastic facilities. Football is the focus, and everyone is welcome.”
Council cabinet member Robert Francis-Davies said: “We’re pleased that Swansea will have its own Fan Park – the only one of its kind in Wales. It’ll complement the city’s existing top class hospitality trade.
“From our discussions with Fan Parks, we know they want to work with our communities; they’ll employ local people and use local suppliers and services wherever possible.
“We look forward to building an ongoing partnership with them.”
