Christmas pop-up shops return to Carmarthen, Ammanford and Llanelli

For three weeks in December, small local businesses are being given the opportunity to display and sell their goods amongst big high street chains in Carmarthen, Llanelli and Ammanford Town centres, during the run-up to Christmas.
As part of Carmarthenshire County Council’s 100% Sir Gâr initiative, the council has secured three prime locations at our three main towns ahead of the festive season.
The Carmarthen pop-up shop on St Catherine’s Walk will be open from Wednesday 7 to Saturday 10 December, from Monday 12 to Saturday 17 December, and from Monday 19 to Wednesday 21 December from 10am to 4pm.
The Llanelli pop-up shop in St Elli Shopping Centre will be open from Wednesday 7 to Saturday 10 December, from Wednesday 14 to Saturday 17 December, and from Monday 19 to Wednesday 21 December from 10am to 4pm.
The Ammanford pop-up shop in the arcade will be open from Wednesday 7 to Saturday 10 December, from Wednesday 14 to Saturday 17 December, and from Monday 19 to Wednesday 21 December from 10am to 4pm.
Carmarthenshire Council’s Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Leisure, Culture and Tourism, Cllr Gareth John said: “We are pleased to support small, local businesses with a prime trading location at Carmarthen, Llanelli and Ammanford in the run-up to Christmas.
“The local businesses and producers that will be trading from our 100% Sir Gâr Christmas Pop-Up Shops do not usually have an opportunity to showcase their fantastic products on the high street. This, therefore, is a fantastic opportunity for us all to enjoy, experience and buy produce that includes arts and crafts, food and drink, fashion, homeware, gifts and more from whilst supporting the local economy.”
