Dandara off-plan launch near Kidwelly proves the race for space is far from over

Recent reports suggest the property market is declining in Wales as demand for rural living is now receding following the spike during the pandemic; however, independent housebuilder Dandara’s launch of its Golwg Gwendraeth development near Kidwelly last week paints a different picture.

Surrounded by the quaint Carmarthenshire countryside, the new development will offer a variety of new two, three, and four-bedroom homes. At its launch, the unique collection of 141 open-living and high-specification homes proved popular with local buyers as well as those from further afield.

Tracey Gallacher-Thresh, Sales and Marketing Director at Dandara Wales & West, commented: “The headlines are particularly doom and gloom at the moment, and whilst the property market has seen spikes and falls over the last couple of years, our experience at this development proves that people still want to buy.

“It was brilliant to see such an engaging reaction to our off-plan launch, particularly from families and first-time buyers keen to live in a rural but well-connected area where you can get more bang for your buck compared to more central locations. From our perspective, the race for space is far from over.”

Located near Ffos Las Racecourse, Golwg Gwendraeth offers a scenic lifestyle with exceptional transport links. Its nearest station, Kidwelly railway, is a 10-minute drive away, with locations going as far as market town Carmarthen along the Pembrokeshire coastal path, as well as towards the east to Cardiff.

Homebuyers will have a choice of supermarkets, cafés, pubs and restaurants, with the market town of Llanelli only a short drive away. Ideal for families, parents will be able to walk their children to Carway School within ten minutes, and enjoy walks along the Burry Port beach only five miles from the development.

Gallacher-Thresh continued: “With its rich local history and scenic open spaces, Kidwelly offers the perfect home for country lovers and families alike. Its picturesque location provides the very best of rural living, yet still with plenty of connections to local towns. We encourage anyone interested to register their interest as soon as possible!”
