Two men from Bridgend and Barry spend Christmas behind bars after being caught drug dealing

Two men from Bridgend and Barry are behind bars this Christmas after being caught drug dealing.
Damian Jones, 21, from Brackla, was arrested in July after officers witnessed a suspected drug exchange in Vernon Street, Bridgend.
Messages on his mobile phone revealed that he was due to meet a drug supplier at a pre-arranged location.
While Jones was in custody, officers made their way to the location where they stopped a vehicle and arrested two people.
Connor Ockerby and Lucas Byrne, both aged 19 from Barry, were in the car and found to be in possession of cocaine and a mobile phone with drug supply messages.
Jones, Ockerby and Byrne all pleaded pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of Class A and B and on December 21, they were sentenced at Cardiff Crown Court.
Jones was jailed for 4 years 9 months and Byrne was jailed for 2 years 4 months.
Ockerby received a 12-month suspended sentence. He must also carry out 100 hours of unpaid community work.
During the investigation cash, cannabis, and cocaine worth nearly £11k was seized.
