Burger King drive-through proposed for Parc Tawe car park
Proposals have been submitted to Swansea city planners for a Burger King fast food restaurant and drive-through within the car park of Parc Tawe retail park.

The plans, by Parc Tawe owner Centurion, are for a 2,800sq ft unit near the existing Costa Coffee drive-through on land currently occupied by 40 car park spaces and a grass bank on the southern perimeter of the site, adjacent to the New Cut Road and Parc Tawe junction.
The fast food outlet, which would have internal seating and an outdoor terrace, would be accessed via the existing Parc Tawe car park entrance.
Planning documents say that the building would have a “sympathetic design” and emulate the nearby Costa Coffee unit, with a domed roof and canopy along with wood cladding.
Ornamental tree and shrub planting on the banked area to the north of the site will aim to soften and screen the development.
A previous application for a drive-through at this location was turned down by planners in December 2020.
