IRONMAN relaunches TriNations triathlon
IRONMAN had relaunched the TriNations campaign which encourages athletes to take on all three full IRONMAN distance events in the UK & Ireland, to become a TriNations Champion.

If athletes manage the incredible feat of completing IRONMAN UK, Ireland & Wales within a 3-year period, they will claim the coveted title of TriNations Champion, as well as securing a special prize.
Athletes from all over the globe and all age groups have already shown a keen interest in the TriNations, with some already completing the challenge (as it was backdated to 2019).
TriNations Champion Dan said: “In 2022 I set myself the challenge of completing my first IRONMAN, and second, and third. I found out about the TriNations challenge online and set my sights on UK, Ireland, and Wales. I loved each event more than the last – in all three countries the locals were so accommodating, and the crowds gave more support than I could’ve ever imagined.
“Each event was so well organised, with fantastic locations, and for days before each race I could feel the buzz from everyone in each town. When I’d completed my final race in Wales I attended the awards ceremony to collect my trophy. The atmosphere at the awards was absolutely electric, rallying everyone together to celebrate a huge variety of successes from people of all ages and backgrounds.
“Standing up there in front of 100s of people made me extremely proud of what I’d accomplished and so glad to be part of such a welcoming triathlon community.”
IRONMAN UK takes place in Bolton, one of the UK’s friendliest towns and the home of the UK’s only full-distance IRONMAN. The race is known for its iconic spectator support, incredible North West English bike course scenery, and impressive finish line in the heart of the town centre.
IRONMAN Ireland takes place in the town of Youghal, County Cork, which combines Ireland’s fabled natural beauty and athlete-friendly racing location to deliver an IRONMAN Festival weekend on the “Emerald Isle”. Take on the challenging courses of this authentically Irish IRONMAN race, soak up the atmosphere of its buzzing crowd support from friendly locals and unwind in this charming seaside town teeming with tangible historic character and curiosity.
IRONMAN Wales has world-renowned spectator support and epic courses. It’s the race that legends are made of. Hosted in the charming Welsh seaside village of Tenby, Pembrokeshire, athletes leave as friends in this unique, inviting and truly special destination nicknamed the “Iron Town”. IRONMAN Wales sees Tenby come alive to a stunning sunrise swim on Tenby’s sandy North Beach, wild bike course scenery along Pembrokeshire coastline, and a fan-filled town-centre run in Tenby. These events are must-dos on any athlete’s calendar.
There are still a limited number of places left at IRONMAN UK, Ireland and Wales.
