Building society in Swansea becomes a donation station for Matthew’s House
Wet wipes, deodorant, tissues, a range of food items, underwear and socks are all being collected by Yorkshire Building Society in Swansea to support a local charity that helps those struggling with homelessness.

The Society’s Swansea branch on Union Street, has become an official donation station for Matthew’s House.
Matthew’s House (an initiative of The Hill Church Charity) runs several “Expressions of giving Hope”. These include a pay-as-you-feel café called Matt’s Café, Matt’s Community Choir and dignity packs filled with hygiene and sanitary items that get shared with the city through The Homeless Period Swansea.
Meriel Demery, customer consultant at the Swansea branch of Yorkshire Building Society, said: “We are proud to be able to support Matthew’s House in our community in Swansea and we really want to help make a difference to those that are in need with our collection station.”
The collection will be running until Monday 6 March and can be dropped into the branch between 9am – 4.30pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday or 9.30am – 4.30pm on a Wednesday.
