Police raid discovers huge Aberkenfig cannabis factory
South Wales Police have charged a 27-year-old man after 220 kilos of cannabis were found at an Aberkenfig property.

South Wales Police have raided a property on Bridgend Road in Aberkenfig after receiving intelligence from the community that there may be some sort of cannabis production taking place at the address.
Community policing teams executed a warrant at the address where a large cannabis factory was discovered.
Over 140 mature plants were seized weighing around 220 kilos.
27-year-old Besnik Bajrakatari was arrested on suspicion of producing a controlled Class B drug. Yesterday, he was charged and remanded into custody.
Local Policing Inspector Mel Knight said: “Every cannabis farm we destroy helps prevent a vicious circle. The plants won’t end up as street deals, the profits won’t go on to fund other crime, and they won’t ruin lives or pollute our communities.”
