Swansea wakes up to blanket of snow
It never snows in Swansea is the popular refrain – well for the first time in a number of years in the city, it has!

The city woke up to a blanket of snow this morning (Wednesday 8 March), with over 30 schools closed according to the council.
Children made the most of the unexpected snow day, but the thaw set in quickly and soon saw the unseasonably wintry covering disappear.
The gritters were out in force overnight, with most major roads across the city remaining clear.
The snow had a knock on effect with refuse and recycling collections however, with the collections cancelled for the day, to be rescheduled for tomorrow – something that will have a knock-on effect with Thursday and Friday’s collections which will also be a day late.
