Unsung heroes set to be recognised at second annual Neath Port Talbot Mayor’s Citizen Awards
The date has been set for the second annual Mayor of Neath Port Talbot Citizen Awards!

Following 2019’s inaugural event, the awards ceremony, which recognises unsung heroes from across Neath Port Talbot, will take place at Margam Country Park’s beautiful Orangery on Friday 21 April, 2023.
The event’s return was held up by the Covid pandemic but with headline sponsors Tata Steel UK and John Pye Auctions plus other sponsors on board, a call is now going out to those who know of deserving groups or individuals and would like to nominate them for awards.
As well as honouring individuals and groups in a range of categories, the aims of the awards are to highlight the good work and motivation of so many local people, to foster a sense of pride and citizenship and to inspire others to get involved in their communities.
A total of eleven category winners will be presented with awards during the evening at which an additional “Special Recognition Award” will be made. Invited guests, sponsors and winners will meal before sitting back to enjoy the ceremony which will be hosted by broadcaster Sean Holley.
