Fire brigade in dramatic Sketty rooftop rescue
A dramatic rooftop rescue in a Swansea suburb took place earlier this morning (10 March) after fire fighters used specialist equipment to rescue a casualty.

Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service firefighters from Swansea Central and Morriston stations were sent to the Sketty property just before 10am this morning (Friday 10 March).
Dramatic photos released by the fire service show firefighters using a turntable ladder to safely recover the rooftop casualty, before he was handed over to waiting paramedics.

A spokesperson for Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service said: “At 9.43am on Friday, March 10th, crews from Swansea Central and Morriston were called to an incident in Sketty.
“On arrival, a casualty needed rescuing from a domestic property’s roof, the turn table ladder used was instrumental in bringing the casualty to safety and to pass them over to the waiting Ambulance Service crew.
“Crews left the scene at 10.19am.”
