Two Llandeilo dental practices stop NHS patient treatments
Tywi Dental and Celtic Dental Practices in Llandeilo have announced they are to stop treating NHS patients.

Both surgeries will stop NHS treatment from 1 April 2023.
Hywel Dda Health Board say they will provide patients who had previously received NHS dental care at Tywi and Celtic Dental Practices with information about their ongoing care, and the options available to them whilst they work to find a new service provider for the area.
Jill Paterson, Director of Primary Care, Community and Long-Term Care for Hywel Dda UHB said: “The Health Board would like to thank patients for the support that they have given to both Practices over the years and appreciate the impact that this change will have on the local population.
“The Health Board is working to find a long-term solution which secures this important service for the area.”
Following the Practice closure, patients who are experiencing dental pain are being advised to contact 111 to access an urgent access appointment which is available 7 days a week.
NHS patients at Tywi Dental and Celtic Dental practices can be put on a ‘holding list’ for treatment at a new surgery in the area once one has been put in place, by contacting the health board by emailing HDHB.Dental.hdd@wales.nhs.uk or by telephoning 0300 303 8322 extension 4.
The health board is asking that people do not calling other Dental Practices in the Llandeilo area in the meantime, as they are experiencing an overwhelming volume of calls.
