Aldi to bring food and drink event back to Parc Tawe
Aldi has announced it’s to host an exclusive food and drink event at its Parc Tawe store in Swansea on Thursday (6 April)

The supermarket is bringing back the event for a second year running to showcase an array of products from Welsh suppliers in collaboration with Food and Drink Wales.
From 10am – 4pm, shoppers are invited to sample the products and provide feedback to the Aldi Buying Team, with a selection of businesses going on to have their products appear in Aldi stores.
Businesses attending include Wickedly Welsh chocolate, alongside a luxury handmade biscuit supplier, Shepherd’s Biscuits, and a family-owned egg business, Ellis Eggs.
Meanwhile, a selection of drinks businesses will also be available to try, including Au Vodka, San Francisco Bay Coffee, and Brecon Carreg Water.

Last year, six suppliers who attended the event were selected to have their products on Aldi shelves up and down the country, including Lewis Pies, Tregroes and Braces Scones.
Lesley Griffiths, Minister for Rural Affairs and North Wales, and Trefnydd, said: “We have a fantastic range of innovative and quality produce in Wales. I’m pleased Aldi is looking to increase its offering of Welsh food and drink, and public opinion is included in the selection process.”
Julie Ashfield, Managing Director of Buying at Aldi, added: “After the success of last year’s event, we can’t wait to showcase even more products by local suppliers in Wales and most importantly hear what our shoppers think.
“We are committed to backing Welsh suppliers and we look forward to forging some new long-term supplier partnerships on the back of this event.”
