Pop-up shops return to Ammanford, Llanelli and Carmarthen this Easter
Carmarthenshire Council have announced that pop-up shops will return this Easter to the county’s three main towns – Ammanford, Llanelli and Carmarthen.
The council says shoppers will be greeted by a wealth of produce by local businesses from stores that have been vacated by national retailers.
The Llanelli pop-up shop will open at the former EE store at the entrance to the Elli Shopping Centre on Stepney Street from Tuesday 11 April to Friday 14 April between 10am and 4pm.
Carmarthen’s pop-up shop will return to the former Debenhams store on St Catherine’s Walk, also from Tuesday 11 April to Friday 14 April between 10am and 4pm.
Ammanford’s pop-up shop will be at the outdoor market space on Quay Street on Friday 14 April from 9am to 3pm.
The scheme has been funded by the Welsh Government through its Rural Communities Development Programme.
Cllr. Gareth John, Carmarthenshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Leisure, Culture and Tourism said: “I’m pleased to see Carmarthenshire businesses return to our three main highstreets during the Eater holiday, via the 100% Sir Gâr pop up shops.”
“What better way to spend the Easter break than enjoying a day out in the town, with some retail therapying and supporting Carmarthenshire businesses?”
