New B&M store to open at a Fforestfach retail park – just a mile and a half from another outlet
Discount retailer B&M have revealed they will be opening a brand new store at West Swansea Retail Park in Fforestfach.

B&M say their new store and Garden Centre will create 60 jobs for local people.
The discount retailer has taken possession of a previous Argos and Curry’s store to create a 34,475sqft. store that will include a mezzanine.
The store will undergo a comprehensive internal and external refurbishment programme before officially opening its doors at 8am on Friday the 26th of May 2023.
B&M say customers can expect to find a wide variety of branded groceries including a range of food, drink, and pet food. There will also be a selection of health and beauty products, homeware, electricals, DIY essentials, toys, games, gifts and more.
The store will also boast its own 4,865sqft garden centre, selling hundreds of plant varieties and gardening essentials.
A spokesperson from B&M said: “We’re feeling extremely positive about the creation of more jobs for local people, and we hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store.”
“We are all really excited to get the doors open and welcome our new customers through the door.”
While the new store is just 1.7 miles along Carmarthen Road from the discount retailer’s Cwmdu store, B&M say there are no plans to close any of their outlets in Swansea.
