Royal Garden party delight as Sian and family from Pembrey meet the King
A charity worker from Pembrey has had her dreams come true when she met the King and other senior Royals at a Royal Garden Party on Wednesday 3rd May.

Sian Denman, a family support practitioner for Action for Children’s Carmarthenshire Parenting service was invited to the garden party through her dedication and work for the charity.
Sian also does volunteering, fundraising and awareness raising for Action for Children with the whole family getting involved and taking the charity’s ethos of being passionate, ambitious, collaborative and inclusive very seriously.
She was able to take her son, Mikey (22) and daughter, Ebony (26) to the party who delighted in sharing the history and work the charity does in Welsh communities and across the UK.
Sian said: “It was a thrill of a lifetime to attend a Royal Garden Party. We met the King and Queen Consort, the Duke of Kent and the Duchess of Edinburgh and we were all struck by how genuinely interested they were in the history and work of Action for Children.
“It was a great opportunity to talk about the difference we make to the families and children in our communities who need it most.
“We are still on a high from an absolutely wonderful day at Buckingham Palace, we didn’t want it to end, and I made sure I was the last to leave!”
Mikey added: “All the family are so proud of the work mum does for Action for Children so to get the chance to celebrate Action for Children with senior members of the Royal Family was too good a chance to miss! We all had a ball, and it was a privilege to be part of a Buckingham Palace garden party at such a special time for the Royal family.”
It was also a dream come true for Ebony. She said: “I’ve always wanted to go to a Royal Garden party so to go with Mikey and my mum was an absolute thrill. We are very passionate about Action for Children and were bursting with pride to accompany mum to Buckingham Palace. I never thought we’d meet the King and Queen Consort so that just capped an unbelievable day out In London.”
