Man boarded train with enough heroin for 140 deals in his pocket

Dyfed-Powys Police officers stopped Dean Anthony Rosser as he got off a train in Carmarthen to board a bus to Haverfordwest. He was found with enough heroin for 140 street deals in his pocket.

He also had a gram of crack cocaine in his jeans, and was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply.

Digital examinations showed he’d been actively involved in the supply of both substances for a number of months, while enquiries into Rosser’s finances uncovered a number of payments which were consistent with someone dealing drugs.

Rosser, aged 56, of Barn Street in Haverfordwest, was charged with possession with intent to supply heroin, possession with intent to supply cocaine, being concerned in the supply of heroin and being concerned in the supply of cocaine.

He admitted the charges and has been sentenced to five-and-a-half years in jail.

Detective Sergeant Vinny Barrett from Dyfed Powys Police said: “We are pleased with this sentence passed down by the court which will hopefully act as a deterrent to anybody considering engaging in the supply of illegal drugs.

“Dyfed-Powys Police will not tolerate people blighting our society with drugs that cause nothing but misery and harm to our communities, and we will continue to target those who engage in the supply of illegal substances.”
