7-year-old Sebastian from Pen-y-mynydd in Trimsaran, Carmarthenshire sustained a traumatic brain injury when he was just 12 weeks of age.

The injury left Sebastian non-verbal with quadlepegic cerebral palsy and epilepsy.

Sebastian has been happiest when he’s outdoors playing with his sister. And living so close to the countryside and beaches, these have become one of his favourite places.

His visits have become more challenging as he’s got older however, and he’s now in desperate need of a multi-terrain buggy to help him access the forest and the beach.

Sebastian’s neighbour, Patsy Evans has started a crowdfunder to help towards the £4,000 cost of the buggy.

Patsy said: “Seb amazes everyone he meets as he has learnt to communicate with a device and is now learning to read.

“He signs and definitely has a massive desire to be involved in everything and play with his friends.

“Living in a beautiful part of Wales Seb has spent a large part of his childhood outside, in the forest or on the beach.

“As Seb continues to grow this has now become very difficult to do. We have decided to raise the £4,000 needed to purchase a multi-terrain buggy.

“This means that the family will be able to take Seb to the beach with his sister and he can also access the forest.

“I am organising fundraising events, including tombola, raffles, table sales etc. We have set up a crowd funding page too.”

Just days after launching the appeal, £2,600 has been raised towards purchasing a multi-terrain buggy for Sebastian.

Patsy added: “People you are amazing. We can not say a big enough thank you. 24 hours in and 50% of the target raised. You are all amazingly kind wonderful people.”
