Record amount of riders make third Jiffy’s Cancer 50 Challenge a big success
The third annual Jiffy’s Cancer 50 Challenge broke records as riders came out in force to raise money for cancer services in Swansea and Cardiff.
In perfect sunny conditions, the event attracted 600 cyclists – the most in its short history – as it doubled last year’s total of participants.
They received fantastic backing from the public, with over 400 in attendance for the group finish in Swansea’s Bracelet Bay.

Presented by Wales rugby legend Jonathan Davies, the cycle challenge raises significant funds each year for the South West Wales Cancer Centre in Singleton Hospital and Velindre Cancer Centre.
This was the first year three different distances were introduced, and it proved a big success with riders of all ages and abilities.
Over £40,000 has already been raised but that figure is expected to increase as more sponsorship money is collected over the next few weeks.
