During the ten months leading up to the finals held in the Globe Theatre, Blackpool on October 15th, Ffion has worked hard with collections for various charities.
Her efforts have seen money raised for the Jerusalem Baptist Church with a charity bowls match at Briton Ferry Combine Bowls Club, a bucket collection at a My Rounders Match in the Elba, Gowerton to raise funds for Morgans Army and making an appearance in the Celebrity Football match organised by OTB Promotions in The Gnoll, Neath for The Swansea Veterans Hub.
Ffion’s dedication also saw her organise and fundraise at her own charity quiz night in The Globe Inn, Loughor. An effort that raised a hefty £766 – a total split between Morgans Army and Together For Short Lives.
She has also been busy modelling for Welsh Photography Events, completed a walk for The Welsh National Prom Show, and undertaken promotional modelling for Lou Mor Gowns and San Portalbo.
During this time, Ffion was also recovering from knee surgery due to an injury sustained whilst in school all whilst sitting her GCSEs.
In July of this year, the teenager was diagnosed with ADHD. Ffion is determined to embrace and overcome the stigmas surrounding her condition and says it will not hold her back. Wanting to instead raise awareness of how it presents differently in girls and how they are usually undiagnosed.
‘I had the best time at Miss Teen GB. I met lots of lovely girls of all ages and from all over the UK, they were so inspirational”, said Ffion.
“I was honoured to come away with the Miss Teen Congeniality 2023 award from my first pageant and want to thank Holly Pirrie and all the team at Pageant Girl UK for all their support.
“I would also like to thank Oksana Sidorenko and the team at BE-you-TIFUL Hair and Beauty for sponsoring my hair for my fundraiser and for travelling all the way to Blackpool for the finals. I also want to thank all the local businesses in Gorseinon and Loughor for their support with raffle prizes for my quiz fundraiser’.
Ffion has this week received the exciting news that she has been selected to represent Swansea once again as Miss Teen Swansea Galaxy 2023/2024.
The grand finals will be held in Warrington in March 2024 with the winner representing the UK in the Galaxy International finals held in Orlando, Florida in August 2024.
The youngster is now looking for sponsorship to help her achieve her dream of getting to the finals. If you are interested in sponsoring Ffion please email ffioncolwill.pageants@gmail.com
