Poundstretcher to open new Llansamlet store

Poundstretcher has announced that it is to open a new store on Lion Way in Swansea Enterprise Park on Friday (15 September)

The store’s Grand Opening will take place on Friday 15 September 2023 at Unit 2A Lion Way Retail Park.

At 9.30am Poundstretcher will hold a charity trolley dash for Swansea Foodbank, where competitors will be given the opportunity to fill their trolley with as many products as possible within 60 seconds.

Local councillor, Penny Mathews will be cutting the ribbon at 10am when the store will officially be opened for trading.

The first arrivals at the store will be welcomed by a local Entertainer running games and activities with £250 worth of Poundstretcher shopping vouchers up for grabs.

The growing family business, which was established over 40 years ago, is Poundstretcher’s 20th new store opening this year.

The new store will stock a wide choice of brands within Household products,
Food and Drinks, Everyday Essentials, Electrical Goods and Seasonal Ranges. The store will also include a large Pet section under it’s Pet Hut brand.

The company said that new members of staff, both part and full time from the local area have been recruited as part of the store opening.

Property Director Gerry Loughran commented: “We are pleased to be opening a brand new store for the people of Swansea to access our wide range of offers and products.

“The team is working hard to deliver an outstanding shopping experience, great service, and an enjoyable shopping environment for all our old and new customers.

“We are expecting massive queues for our opening day specials, including an action-packed
morning, so come early to not miss out!”
