Amazon donation to help city primary improve outdoor play space

A Swansea primary school has received a £1,000 donation from the team at Amazon’s fulfilment centre in the city.

Danygraig Primary School say the donation from Amazon in Swansea will go towards playground equipment and outdoor learning areas.

Emily Thomas, an employee at Amazon in Swansea who nominated the school for support, said: “I and many others at Amazon in Swansea have children attending Danygraig Primary School. I’m so pleased that Amazon has made this donation and I know it will be greatly appreciated by the school community.”

Dan Boulger, General Manager at Amazon in Swansea, said: “We’re very pleased to donate to such a wonderful school in the local area. We’re confident that it offers great opportunities and a stellar education to our children, which we at Amazon take pride in supporting.”

Stuart Davies, Headteacher from Danygraig Primary School, added: “We are so grateful to receive this donation from Amazon in Swansea and would like to extend our thanks to Christopher and the team for their support. The donation will assist us in creating a better space for the pupils’ break times.”
