Appeal for witnesses after man assaulted on rail replacement bus between Ferryside and Carmarthen

British Transport Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted on a rail replacement bus service between Ferryside and Carmarthen train stations.

The incident took place at around 9.30pm on Thursday 19 January, where a man travelling on the replacement bus became verbally aggressive towards another man.

The victim was punched in the face, causing a laceration to his forehead and swelling.

A 39-year-old man was arrested and has since been charged in connection to the incident.

Officers are now keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to help with their investigation.

Witnesses, or anyone with information, are being encouraged to contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 549 of 19/01/23.
