Arrests after 10-year-old boy allegedly assaulted at Parc Tawe pro-Palestine rally

Three people have been arrested following an incident at a Parc Tawe pro-Palestine rally that saw a 10-year-old boy allegedly assaulted.

A 42-year-old local man has been arrested in connection with the alleged assault of the boy at the protest which took place on Friday (31 May).

A 42-year-old woman has also been arrested on suspicion of assault and a 12-year-old girl arrested on suspicion of racially aggravated assault.

A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: “Officers investigating allegations of an assault upon a 10-year-old boy during a protest outside a Parc Tawe, Swansea store on May 31 have arrested a 42-year-old local man on suspicion of assault.

“He has been bailed pending further investigation.

“Officers investigating the incident have also arrested a 42-year-old woman on suspicion of assault and a 12-year-old girl on suspicion of racially aggravated assault.”
