37-year-old Grant Lester, from Clydach, was seen driving his vehicle in a suspicious manner and appeared to be trying to evade police. When officers located Lester inside an address in Glais, a quantity of cocaine was found underneath his seat, alongside Lester’s mobile phone, which contained evidence of drug dealing.

He has been sentenced to three years and two months in prison for Possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

Sergeant Luke Tucker said:

“Grant Lester knew that his involvement in the illegal drug trade was wrong, and attempted to conceal this from officers when caught by hiding drugs and his mobile phone under his seat.

“Like others involved in this illegal activity, he was only concerned with his own financial profit, and not at all for the misery these drugs inflict upon the local community.

“We hope that Grant will think about his actions whilst in prison and will change his ways.”
