Heron Foods, the discount retail chain has today announced that they’ll be opening a brand new store on Woodfield Street in Morriston at 9 am on Thursday, 24th February 2022.
Taking over the Peacocks unit on Woodfield Street, the retailer says the store will stock ‘Top Quality, Low Prices’ on a huge food and drinks range, as well as limited-time deals in the ‘Don’t Miss Out’ section.
On opening day, the store will be offering a goodie bag worth over £5 to the first 100 customers who spend £5 or more.
Not only that, the first 250 customers who spend over £5 will also be offered a scratch-card which will reveal a prize once scratched off. With 5 top prizes worth £50 be found, the opening day event is not to be missed.
The new store has created 12 new jobs in both full- and part-time roles. Visitors to the company’s Facebook page facebook.com/heronfoodslimited will have the opportunity to choose their favourite charity who will be given £250 as a thank you from Heron Foods to mark the opening of the new store.
Store Manager, Roger Teasdle, who has just joined the company said: “I’m very excited to get stuck in, Heron Foods stores offer and add to the local community so we’re thrilled to be opening a store in Morriston, and we look forward to welcoming customers through the doors.”

Heron Foods – Morriston will be open Monday to Saturday: 8 am to 7 pm, and Sunday: 10 am to 4 pm.
