Racing gets underway at 1.52pm with a seven-runner handicap chase in class five before coming to a close three hours later at 4.52pm with another seven-runner contest, this time a handicap hurdle in class four.

Up first on the Ffos Las card is a class five handicap chase (1.52 )
A field of seven will head to the post for the start. River Run Free has a good strike rate over fences and was a fine winner at Leicester last month, so looks to be the way to go in the opener for the David Pipe team. Esperti rates a big danger with Bowen at the helm, though, a winner of three of his last four starts, including over this course and distance.
A small field of five will take on race two, a maiden hurdle in class five over the mile and three-quarter trip (2.22)
Trainer Olly Murphy holds a strong hand here with Jamada, who is open to improvement, having finished a fine second at Lingfield last month when he made a very strong run heading home, so could go one better this time around. Shade Of Winter is coming off a good run in a C&D handicap on deep ground and is a solid alternative.
A class four novices’ hurdle over two and a half miles is up next for race three (2.52)
Murphy could bring up a quickfire double on the card with Harbour Island, a winner of a Taunton maiden on his last spin, and should progress even further from that. Rathkenny is the next best, a winner of a Doncaster maiden four weeks ago, and is another that could progress.
Next, for race four comes a two-and-a-half-mile handicap hurdle (3.22)
Eton Mes looks the way to go in this one and could bring up a double on the card for the David Pipe yard. His runner is bidding for a hat-trick here and might be tough to stop, having won at Uttoxeter and Wincanton on his previous two spins.
El Gavilan looks the danger, being on a hat-trick of his own, having won back-to-back over 2m at the course. Ground conditions are in his favour, as they are for Fresh Speculation, a last-time-out C&D winner seeking a third straight win of his own.
A two-mile handicap hurdle follows for race five (3.52)
Morning Mayhem looks well-placed to handle a 7lb penalty in the weights when he lines up in race five for trainer Nick Scholfield, having got back to winning ways when landing a Fakenham handicap last time out.
It might be worth opposing him, however, with Master Dunraven, who has yet to win over hurdles but is coming off his best effort yet when a keeping-on third at Plumpton last time. He’s off the same mark here and should be suited by the long straight.
Linden Lane enters the race off a pair of solid efforts, most recently finishing third at Sedgefield, and he could also have a say, making him the third choice.
The penultimate race of the afternoon is a two-mile handicap chase (4.22)
This can go the way of El Rojo Grande, 6lb higher in the weights, but arrives here as a four-time winner, having been victorious over the course and distance here previously. If in front should be very tough to get past.
Storming Nelson is the alternative, having had just two starts over fences and shown improved form from his chase debut when second on deep ground at Taunton last time. He’s open to further progress, although the same comment applies to As Tears Go By, who ran a good race on reappearance at Fakenham and could prove suited by the drop in trip.
The final race on the card comes at (4.52) as seven runners tackle the two and three quarter mile handicap hurdle in class four.
This could prove a right slog as the last race on the card, with the ground likely to be well chewed up by this point, and that should suit Ramo, who hails from a yard that has suddenly hit form.
Preference, though, goes with the Murphy stable with a potential hat-trick of wins on the day with Orderoftheday, who is stepping up in trip after a fourth on handicap bow last time out.
