The new product, named Pawb — Welsh for “everyone” — is a mix of Halen Môn Pure Sea Salt PDO, toasted cumin and coriander, smoked paprika, and oregano. It’s intended as an easy-to-use seasoning for cooks of all skill levels, and will be distributed free of charge to participants in Cegin y Bobl’s food education and cookery programmes.
Halen Môn has also pledged to donate 10% of all Pawb sales this year to the charity, which runs immersive food literacy and leadership workshops across Wales.
“We’ve created a product designed to help people discover a love for cooking, food and flavour,” said Jess Lea-Wilson, brand director at Halen Môn. “Every jar sold is helping to expand the reach and impact of Cegin y Bobl’s work.”
Founded to build on the legacy of the successful Cook24 programme, Cegin y Bobl delivers chef-led training for schools, families and community groups. Its flagship Food Discovery course has helped children develop food confidence and healthier eating habits, while its Food Leadership programme trains teachers and community leaders in sustainable food education. The charity also runs Family Cook Clubs, food bank cook-alongs, and community meals designed to foster connection and improve food access.
“We believe in the transformative power of food to unite people, strengthen communities, and empower individuals,” said Simon Wright, co-founder of Cegin y Bobl. “It’s great to be adding Welsh producers like Halen Môn to our network — all helping us in our mission to get the nation cooking.”
The Pawb blend joins Halen Môn’s existing Popeth seasoning, inspired by American “everything” bagel mixes. Both products are available via the company’s website and selected retailers.
