Nam Ngoc, of no fixed abode, was arrested after officers received a report of suspicious packages being loaded into a vehicle. The car was later spotted travelling westbound on the M4 and was intercepted in Swansea, where Ngoc was taken into custody.
A search of the vehicle uncovered a significant quantity of cannabis, along with two mobile phones and nearly £400 in cash. Ngoc initially denied the charge but changed his plea to guilty in July.
Sergeant Stuart Williams said: “Nam Ngoc is another individual who has involved themselves in the illegal drug trade and has found out that drugs really don’t pay.
“So many individuals take this same path, only concerned about making profits and paying no care to the wellbeing of those who end up using the drugs.
“His spell in prison is well-deserved.”
