New social media accounts have been launched to help keep people up to date with progress on Swansea’s emerging Copr Bay phase one district.
Copr Bay accounts are now live on:

The £135 million Copr Bay phase one district includes the 3,500-capacity Swansea Arena, a 1.1-acre coastal park, the Copr Bay bridge, apartments, new car parking and space for businesses.
The project – worth £17.1 million a year to Swansea’s economy – is being led by Swansea Council and advised by development manager RivingtonHark.
Earmarked for completion in the autumn of 2021, its construction is being led by Buckingham Group Contracting Limited.
Swansea council is financing Copr Bay phase one, with some funding for the arena coming from the Swansea Bay City Deal. The Copr Bay bridge forming part of the scheme is part-funded by the Welsh Government’s Active Travel fund.
Cllr Rob Stewart, Swansea Council Leader, said: “This is an exciting time for Swansea city centre with our emerging Copr Bay phase one district making more and more progress every day.
“The Copr Bay social media accounts will give residents, businesses and visitors to the city a great chance to keep updated with progress – as well as with our plans for the future – so I’d encourage people to follow them.
“As well as giving an overview of what people can look forward to, they’ll also include latest photos, news, videos and interviews about the district, with construction due for completion in the autumn.”
A second phase of the Copr Bay development is also planned. This phase, including a new public sector hub, will be worth £106 million a year to Swansea’s economy.
