NINE fire appliances called to Bynea recycling centre fire

Nine fire appliances from Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service are currently at a large recycling centre fire at Bynea in Carmarthenshire.

The fire broke out around 10.35am this morning (14 October) at the Browns recycling centre in the village close to Llanelli.

A mixture of frontline and specialist fire crews are at the scene, with the fire service telling nearby residents to keep windows and doors closed.

No injuries have been reported.

We are in attendance at a large scale waste fire in the Bynea area of Llanelli, Crews are at the scene and are working hard to keep the fire under control.

We ask local residents to keep all windows and doors closed at this time.
