The branch, which runs the Penllergaer animal centre, has built the new public facility which is now available for private hire.
The off-lead area is a large, secure area where owners will be able to bring their dogs to run around freely.

A grand opening took place on Tuesday 4 June with several local businesses – who sponsored some of the costs – invited along. Television presenter, Hayley Pearce (pictured above) – known for appearing in BBC3’s The Call Centre – officially opened the facility.
The new dog run cost around £25,000 to build and was made possible thanks to local business and supporters.
Sally Hyman, chair of the RSPCA’s Llys Nini Branch said: “We’re delighted to have officially opened our new dog run.
“We’re extremely grateful for every donation. From the many local businesses who have contributed to our dedicated supporters, it means the world to us.”
The new facility is another addition to the animal centre – as back in September the branch opened a community hub, Yr Ysgubor (The Barn), which includes an activity space, classroom and recycling suite, as well as dog-friendly Caffi Nini. The hub was officially opened by The First Minister of Wales at the time – Rt Hon Mark Drakeford MS – and has welcomed scores of visitors since its opening.
Sally added: “We can’t wait to see owners and their dogs make use of our new dog run. Why not pop along, get a bit of exercise with your pet and then come along to Caffi Nini for a cuppa and cake!”

The branch is currently caring for a range of dogs, cats and small furries who are all looking for forever homes. One of them is Bonnie, a two-year-old Belgian Shepherd Malinois/Collie who is looking for a quiet, adult only household – ideally in a rural setting.
Once she is built up confident and has built a bond with you Bonnie is a very fun and affectionate girl.
Sally said: “Bonnie is looking for a patient and loving owner who is willing to dedicate their time with Bonnie and helping her learn to trust.
“She is a very intelligent girl who loves to learn new things and she loves her food and toys!
