Police believe collision between car and electric bike a ‘deliberate act’

South Wales Police investigating a serious collision between a car and an electric bike near to the Tesco store in Fforestfach, Swansea say they now believe this to have been a “deliberate act”.

Officers are trying to identify the person responsible who failed to stop at the scene of the incident.

The collision happened around 3pm on Sunday (20 March) on Ffordd Cynore in Fforestfach, near to the Tesco petrol station.

The driver of a grey Ford Ecosport involved in the collision failed to stop after the incident.

South Wales Police say the rider of the electric bike, a 26 year-old man from Fforestfach, was taken to hospital where he is being treated for serious injuries.

The road was closed for a significant period of time while Police investigated the incident.

Anyone with information or dashcam footage of the incident is asked to contact South Wales Police.
