Portmead plasterer jailed for drug dealing

A Portmead plasterer has been jailed after running a cocaine dealing operation.

23-year-old Corey Fethney, from Portmead, was arrested on 26 March after police noticed his mobile number and and Snapchat kept coming up in the phones of drug users, with messages offering the “best and cheapest” cocaine.

Police discovered a mobile phone Fethney’s Broughton Avenue bedroom that was confirmed to be tied to a drug line which was under investigation.

Fethney had previously been sentenced in September 2022 for sentenced to 36 months for the supply of cocaine and possession of cannabis with intent to supply. He had been released on licence in August 2023, but following his latest arrest had been recalled to prison.

He has been sentenced to 54 months in prison for his latest drug dealing offences.

Detective Sergeant Luke Tucker from South Wales Police said: “It is always disappointing when a young individual who has previously been sentenced for a drugs offence – as Corey Fethney was in 2022 – finds themselves back in the exact same position just a few years later.

“This is not the first time Corey has been involved with illegal activity of this kind, and for his sake, we hope it’s the last.”
